French conditional / Le conditionnel

In this lesson, you will learn how to use the conditional in French :

In the first part of the sentence called “la condition” (if ….), you need to use the imperfect tense :

Si + Imparfait (If + Imperfect)

In the second part of the sentence, you need to use the conditional tense :

Sujet + Infinitif + Terminaisons de l’imparfait (Subject + Infinitive + Imperfect endings*)

* the imperfect endings are : -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient

The following lesson is a game where you have to guess what would be written instead of “blablabla”. You need to guess for each slide a character. You can see the answer at the bottom right of each slide.
